Thought I would drop you a quick message to say thanks for taking me fishing.

I had a fantastic time catching Black Bream, a species I had not caught before.

I ended up cooking them with orange zest and fresh rosemary which was awsome.

I learned a great deal from you on my morning fishing session and it certainly encouraged me to get out there and cast a bait more often.

As our first sea fishing attempt we were overjoyed to catch such a beautiful Wrasse and a Thicked Lipped Mullet.

Marcus my son could not believe it and I am sure he will remember our day for years to come.

I just know that by ourselves we would have caught nothing but sea weed.

ICaught his first ever Bass in Herm on a day out with Guernsey Fishing Guide and was absolutly delighted

I would be happy to recommend John's service to any one who wanted to learn about shore fishing.

There were five of us fishing and he was kept busy baiting up and untangling all day and was always enthusiastic and keen to help us with whatever needed doing to make our day a great day.

I had a great time in Herm with John, who made every effort to find me fish.

We fished two marks, catching Thicked Lipped Mullet and Black Bream at the first mark called Selle rock and then managed to catch Thicked Lipped Mullet at Rosaire steps.

Thanks for a great days fishing, I will certainly come back to Guernsey to sample it's huge fishing potential.

A family fishing trip was a great success with over 20 fish caught ( all returned alive ).

The boys, Sam and Ollie caught three different species of Wrasse/ Cuckoo Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse and Corkwing, they also caught Pollack, Pout, Blenny's.

The fishing was hectic so that John had to run between rods baiting up and taking fish off hooks.

28th July.

Edward went on his first fishing expedition with his Dad and managed to catch several different species including this local goby.

He also managed to catch small pollack, Wrasse and Pout.

July 2009.

Rob booked me for half a day while I was on Holiday in Herm.

Robs comments were: Fab,what a day I had being guided by John, i caught my first Thicked Lipped grey mullet which weighed in at 4lb. 13oz.

my guide was excellent and I would recommend any sea fishing beginner to have a session with john.

I can't wait to come back and sample some more of what the island has to offer.

John  took me fishing for Thicked Lipped Mullet, a species I had never gone after before as I was under the impression that they were nigh on impossible to catch.

Well what an experiance, they go like silver torpedoe's when hooked on12ft 1 1/2 lb test rod matched with a small fixed spool loaded with 8lb line

Thanks for giving me the experiance John, I will certainly go after Mullet again. .
